WHITEHAVEN LADIES WIN UMBRO 5's REGIONAL FINALS
Well done to the girls as they won through to the North West Finals at North Shields on the 14th of June after winning the regional finals at the Allerdale Leisure centre, Workington. The squad consisting of Sarah Scott, Fiona Buglass, Kirsty Robson, Amanda Smith, Katie Maxwell and Lauren Fryer were undefeated on the night and progressed through as group winners, Kirsty Robson was awarded player of the night for Whitehaven, who on the night scored 12 goals and only conceded 2, all 5 outfield players scored for Whitehaven, Katie scored 4, Amanda 3, Kirsty 2, Lauren 2 and Fiona 1.

WHITEHAVEN LADIES "PRESENTATION NIGHT"
A successful night in the clubhouse as 80 people turned up for our 1st annual presentation night, everyone enjoyed themselves as the girls let their hair down and had a really enjoyable night which was thouroughly deserved after a tremendous 1st season together, all 24 members of the 1st team squad recieved commemorative trophies and the individual winners were :-

CUMBERLAND COUNTY LEAGUE
The Cumbrian FA have announced their intention to form an adult Women's County League for next season, which is great news for us as the amount of girls we have coming training now, we can easily accomodate a second team to run alongside our 1st team which will remain in the Lancashire County League which will be our priority for next season as I expect us to be challenging for promotion next season. We currently have 25 girls regularly coming training and with more and more girls showing interest in the club as the word spreads we will easily be able to put out two competitive teams next year.

"FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON"
Whitehaven Ladies brought their League season to a close with a 1 - 1 draw away to Champions elect Wigan Athletic, the game which was played at the JJB Soccerdome ruined Wigan's 100% home record as Whitehaven became the only team this season to come away with a result.
