1st Team Defenders
Jack Fryer - position: goalkeeper
Jack came to Whitehaven having previously played for Workington Reds and was a member of the side that won the Wearside League and the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup.
Brian Miller - position: goalkeeper
Returned to the club after a season away. Excellent shot stopper with good positional sense and vying to be number one.
Craig Routledge - position: goalkeeper - nicknames: Trouty,Rout
Unlucky to lose the No. 1 jersey after injury, but never lets the club down. Another good shot stopper with sharp reflexes.
Wayne Collins - position: centre back - nicknames: Ouchi, Wayno
Wayne has been at the club since the age of 8, Wayne's best attribute is his aerial ability as he loses very little in the air and he also chipped in with 4 goals last season.
Craig Lewis - position: full back - nicknames: Lewch
Craig can play in a number of positions including centre back and midfield however he has generally been employed as a full back this season. In his first season back since serious injuries Craig scored 4 goals for the first team last season.
Graeme Lilly - position: centre back/fullback - nicknames: Lilt
Graeme leads by example on the pitch, his pace and one on one tackling means very little gets past him, he also scored 3 goals last season, Graeme also had the privelige of lifting the clubs first and only Wearside League trophy and Monkwearmouth Charity Cup.
Gary Hodgson - position: centre back - nickname Tino
Converted to centre half from midfield and made the position his own. Strong in the air and a good tackler who signed from Netherhall.
Mark Moore - position : full back - nicknames : Moosey
Mark has made most of his appearances for the 1st team at full-back but can also play centre-back or in midfield, has been at the club since the age of 7 with spells at Carlisle United's School of Excellence and a Morecambe YTS
Adam Johnson - position: fullback
A recent addition to the squad having played locally. Very quick and strong in the tackle and passes the ball well. Made his debut in the Divisional Cup against Brandon Utd.
