1st Team Defenders
Garry Burns - position: centre back - nicknames: GB
Garry has had a frustrating time with injury over the last few seasons however is now working hard to get back to fitness, he is big strong and loves a tackle and is also exceptional in the air.
Wayne Collins - position: centre back - nicknames: Ouchi, Wayno
Wayne has been at the club since the age of 8, Wayne's best attribute is his aerial ability as he loses very little in the air and he also chipped in with 4 goals last season.
Barrie Fowler - position: full back - nicknames: Baz
Barrie is predominantly a right back but has however made a few appearances at left back and it has also been known for him to play in midfield for the club, Barrie has also played for every age group at the club and continues to be a big part of the first team squad.
Kevin Holliday - position: full back - nicknames: Chesney
Brother of Malcolm, Kevin's preferred position is at full back although due to the form of Craig Lewis, Luke Smith, and Barrie Fowler hasnt played as many games as he would have liked. He has also played a few games as a midfielder to help the team out.
Craig Lewis - position: full back - nicknames: Lewch
Craig can play in a number of positions including centre back and midfield however he has generally been employed as a full back this season. In his first season back since serious injuries Craig scored 4 goals for the first team last season.
Graeme Lilly - position: centre back - nicknames: Lil
Graeme leads by example on the pitch, his pace and one on one tackling means very little gets past him, he also scored 3 goals last season, Graeme also had the privelige of lifting the clubs first and only Wearside League trophy and Monkwearmouth Charity Cup.
Luke Smith - position: full back - nicknames: Smiddy
Luke has made most of his appearances at centre back this season, however he can also operate as a full back. Luke is another member of the squad that has been at the club since a young age and has played for every age group, he also once amazingly scored a goal from a bye kick.
Mark Moore - position : full back - nicknames : Moosey
Mark has made most of his appearances for the 1st team at full-back but can also play centre-back or in midfield, has been at the club since the age of 7 with spells at Carlisle United's School of Excellence and a Morecambe YTS
Stephen Rose - position: full back - nicknames: Rosey
Stephen is a left back who loves to get forward and help the team attack, has played every game for the reserves so far this season in his first season back at the club.
