We all know that injuries are part and parcel of playing football, but they are dispiriting nevertheless. Luckily we have club physio Laura Hocking on hand to help minimize any loss of game time, and she has become an important part of the off-field team over the last two seasons. Its all part of making our club more professional and more modern in its thinking by providing an important service for our players.
At the present time our injury list doesn't seem too long, but Stephen Hewitt picked up a hamstring injury in the game with Consett and may take a little time to recover. Longer term we have Craig Routledge seeking treatment, but hopefully his surgery has worked out well and his rehabilitation won't take too long. I know he's champing at the bit trying to get back. Another on the list is Carl McGrady who has a niggling injury which hasn't responded to treatment and probably requires a bit more time.
Physiotherapy will cost £30 for the season this year, and the deadline for signing up is July 31st. Anyone requiring treatment from Laura after this date who is not signed up will be charged £30 per session. There is no compulsion to join to take advantage of the physiotherapy services, but the prices are competitive. Those not signed up and expecting treatment will be charged at a much higher premium per treatment. Its up to you.
