Directions to find Whitehaven Amateurs County Ground
From the South: From the A595 take the turning into Whitehaven at the top of Inkermann Terrace at the traffic lights. Come down the hill past the Chase Hotel on your left until you come to a further set of traffic lights just next to the Esso Garage. Turn LEFT into Coach Road and travel across the hatched area down a slight hill. The Catholic Church will be on your right hand side. Travel on until you see an access on your left indicating a cycleway. Turn in and follow the path until you meet the gates to The County Ground. The clubhouse is at the bottom of the access road.
From the North: On seeing the sign "Whitehaven" as you enter the town, keep to the left lane of traffic. This will take you past the garage on your right. Keep on this road, which will give you panoramic views of the town, until you come to a set of traffic lights. You need the RIGHT hand lane which brings you down the hill and past the Chase Hotel on your left. Then follow directions above.
Through Town: On the A595, From the "Whitehaven" sign entering town, take the right hand lane for "Town Centre". Follow the road into the town, past Tesco on your right, Weatherspoons on your left, and follow the One Way system. This brings you past "North" on the corner, and "The Ship" on your left. Keep to the Left past the Police station and follow round until you come to traffic lights. Turn LEFT which takes you past The Civic Hall on your right. Keep in the left lane as you pass Morrisons on your right. Pass through the traffic lights until you come to another set of lights and you need to be in the RIGHT hand lane. This is the junction to take you down Coach Road. Now follow directions above ( from the South )
